This was RJ Kaneao’s 5th solo album but his first in the Blues & Soul Genre. ‘Genres Of Soul’ garnished RJ his first ‘Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award’ (Hawaii’s Grammy Equivalent) for R&B Album of the Year (2018). ‘Genres of Soul’ was also on the 2019 Grammy Ballot for ‘Best Traditional Blues Album of the Year.’ The album features 10 Original Songs Self Produced by RJ Kaneao and Assistant Produced by Aaron (AJ) Kaneao.
